Our philosophy
Founded on a passion sparked from personal experience
For owner/trainer Elexis, her interest in dog training and behavior started during childhood but bloomed into a lifelong passion upon the adoption of her first German Shepherd, Treasa, who came to her with a slew of behavior issues more severe than she was equipped to handle. And when her attempts to find a trainer in her area with the knowledge to help her failed, she began the long journey to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to successfully rehabilitate and modify behavior from the root of the issue.
To this day she continues to always strive to further her education and knowledge, consistently seeking to build upon her skillset and hone her craft. Most recently she was accepted into and completed an exclusive mentorship program under renowned trainer, Jonas Black. Currently she is working toward several certifications to add on to her experience.
A Cerebral Approach
By addressing not just individual behaviors themselves, but rather identifying and working to change the underlying emotions causing them, behaviors aren’t simply masked to pop up when you least expect them. Our program uses canine cognition and neuroscience to complement the training process, working with your dog’s brain rather than against it.
And while there is no magic wand to wave or incantations to be said to instantly make things perfect, we can provide you with the knowledge and tools to progress, achieve, and maintain lasting results. Our goal is to teach people and their dogs how to live together better, communicate well, and live happy, full lives.
